Fran Brown shares why he apologized to a backup linebacker who didn’t play against Virginia Tech

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse head coach Fran Brown admitted that he made a mistake on Saturday when the Orange toppled Virginia Tech in overtime.
Brown said he should have played backup linebacker James Heard, and that he apologized to the redshirt freshman afterward.
